Day 1 – Keswick => Ashness Bridge => Derwent Water => Castlerigg Stone Circle (B)
After meeting in Keswick (our base) we’ll have a brief introduction before setting off for our first location, the beautiful Ashness Bridge. We’ll be getting out our neutral density filters and practising some slow exposure photography. From there we’ll head to Derwent Water and spend the late afternoon photographing from the shoreline. Our sunset location will be at the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle.
Day 2 – Buttermere => Borrowdale => Rydal Water => Wast Water
Our long second day starts at tranquil Buttermere Lake. We’ll spend the morning exploring different vantage points including photographing the famous lone tree. Our next stop will at a less-visited mill in Borrowdale. The historic mill sitting in a picturesque setting next to the river and surrounded by green moss is a wonderful photography subject.
In the afternoon we’ll spend some time exploring the area around Rydal Water before ending our day at one of Lake District’s big highlights, Wast Water. A landscape photographer’s paradise the imposing mountains and beautiful lake will provide the perfect end to a long day.
Day 3 – Kelly Hall Tarn => Ambleside => Keswick => End of Tour (B)
Our final day starts with a sunrise shoot at another beautiful location, Kelly Hall Tarn. Time permitting we will then stop at Ambleside on our way back to photograph the boats that sit along the lake. Upon arrival in Keswick, we will have a final discussion and review some images before saying our goodbyes.
