Private tours

We have always believed that small groups are best for travelling. Not only are they safer to run and manage. But they are also much more sustainable and responsible. This is even more important for a photography course where learning is key.

For this reason we run all our UK workshops as private tours. This means workshops can be tailored to exactly what you want to achieve. Whether it’s a night photography tour or landscape photography, imagine how much you could learn in a few days with a private instructor to guide you!

*Private tours are open to groups should you already be two or more people looking to attend the workshop.

Or you could be a serious amateur with years of experience but want to take your photography to the next level. Whatever level you are at, we can help you achieve your photography goals on this Lake District landscape photography workshop.

Lake District Workshop Itinerary

Day 1 – Keswick => Ashness Bridge => Derwent Water => Castlerigg Stone Circle (B)

After meeting in Keswick (our base) we’ll have a brief introduction before setting off for our first location, the beautiful Ashness Bridge. Our sunset location will be at the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle.

Day 2 – Buttermere => Borrowdale => Rydal Water => Wast Water

Our long second day starts at tranquil Buttermere Lake. We’ll spend the morning exploring different vantage points including photographing the famous lone tree. Our next stop will at a less-visited mill in Borrowdale. The historic mill sitting in a picturesque setting next to the river and surrounded by green moss is a wonderful photography subject.

In the afternoon we’ll spend some time exploring the area around Rydal Water before ending our day at one of Lake District’s big highlights, Wast Water. A landscape photographer’s paradise the imposing mountains and beautiful lake will provide the perfect end to a long day.

Day 3 – Kelly Hall Tarn => Ambleside => Keswick => End of Tour (B)

Our final day starts with a sunrise shoot at another beautiful location, Kelly Hall Tarn.
