      Intro to Travel Photography Workshop – One to one 1 day classroom course

      Join us for this 1 day one to one workshop for an introduction to travel photography. Based at our headquarters in Maidenhead, our expert professionals will guide you through various elements of travel photography. There will be various tasks and exercises that are designed to challenge you. There will be discussions and plenty of opportunities to get help and tips on anything you struggle with. By the end of the day, you will have a better understanding of travel photography and your camera.

      What you will learn on our Intro to Travel Photography workshop?

      This course is designed to help anyone wishing to learn or improve their travel photography in the comfort of a studio. This workshop is ideal for anyone who is a complete beginner and wants to learn how to use their camera. But even if already have some knowledge of photography, this workshop will help you push your existing knowledge further. Some of the topics that we will cover on a typical day are:

      – Camera kit essentials for travelling lightly and safely

      – The exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, ISO)

      – How to photograph different scenarios such as markets, people, landscapes and more

      – Which camera settings to use

      – Advice on composition techniques

      – How to set up your equipment for long exposure shots

      – Scouting locations – what to look for to capture stunning photos

      – Adapting to changing conditions

      – Using natural or available light

      – Tips and advice on backing up and image storage

      Equipment Needed

      Please bring along your DSLR, mirrorless or compact camera as well as any lenses, filters or tripods you may have. Your tutor will be on hand with a selection of equipment so you can witness them first hand.

      What’s Included/Not Included

      Included: A light lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day. Free parking is available at our studio.

      Not included: The cost of getting to and from our headquarters in Maidenhead is not included in the cost.

      NOTE: This is a one to one workshop based at our studio/headquarters in Maidenhead (we will not be out on location). Upon receiving your booking we will contact you to confirm the date that you would like to have your workshop. Prices quoted are per person. For groups of 2 or more, contact us for details.

      Your tutors on this workshop are Kav Dadfar or Jordan Banks. Kav and Jordan have a combined 40 years experience shooting high-end assignments in both the editorial and commercial sectors and have travelled to over 100 countries. Their work has been used by clients ranging from Microsoft to Qantas and Nat Geo to Lonely Planet and many more.
      This is a one to one workshop so unless you want family or friends to join you, it'll be just you and the instructor.
      This workshop is ideal for complete beginners, amateur or enthusiast photographers.
      This is a very easy workshop as it is classroom-based. We have step-free access to our studio. However please note that there are steps for accessing the toilet facilities.
      You don't need expensive or professional equipment for this photo tour. We would recommend DSLR or mirrorless cameras and a tripod for this tour. Compact or smartphone cameras will also be suitable.
      This workshop is held in our headquarters and studio on the outskirts of Maidenhead. Free parking is available.
