Imagine a land where remote castles perch on hilltops overlooking lochs that are steeped in myth. Where wild coastlines and tranquil beaches exist within a few miles of one another. This is a land with a turbulent past and a rich history. A country forged with sword and blood. But yet beyond the vast wilderness of the highlands lies friendly villages and world-class scotch.

This Glencoe photography workshop takes you one of the most photogenic parts of the United Kingdom. Before long you’ll realise why photographers continue to be drawn to its majestic scenery.

Private tours

We have always believed that small groups are best for travelling. Not only are they safer to run and manage. But they are also much more sustainable and responsible. This is even more important for a photography course where learning is key.

For this reason we run all our UK workshops as private tours. This means workshops can be tailored to exactly what you want to achieve. Whether it’s a night photography tour or landscape photography, imagine how much you could learn in a few days with a private instructor to guide you!

*Private tours are open to groups should you already be two or more people looking to attend the workshop.

Whatever level you are at, we can help

You may have only recently decided to take up photography and find it all overwhelming. Or you may have some knowledge but struggle to capture the sort of photos that you dream of. Or you could be a serious amateur with years of experience but want to take your photography to the next level. Whatever level you are at, we can help you achieve your photography goals.

Glencoe Landscape Photography Workshop Tentative Itinerary

Day 1 – Glencoe

Our meeting point for this workshop will be in Glencoe. After a brief discussion and some pointers from the tutor, we dive straight into our first shoot in the area. This will be the venue for our sunset shoot where we will capture the imposing Three Sisters mountain range.

Day 2 – Glencoe => Glenfinnan => Fort William (B)

This morning’s shoot might require an early start, but it will be worth the effort. First up is an early morning shoot at the postcard-perfect Coupall Falls at Etive Mor. Then it is on to the famous Black Rock cottage before having a well-earned breakfast.

We will head out again shortly after to Glenfinnan to catch the steam train, immortalised in the Harry Potter film, crossing the viaduct. From there it is a short drive to Fort William where we will photograph the famous Old Boat of Corpach with the backdrop of Ben Nevis mountain. We retire to our hotel in Glencoe for the evening.

Day 3 – Kilchurn Castle => Oban => Loch Lomond  => Glasgow => End of Tour (B)

We start our final day early by making the short drive to Kilchurn Castle to photograph the stunning scene as the first rays of light appear over the hills and mountains. From there it is another drive through the beautiful Scottish countryside to Loch Lomond. After spending the afternoon exploring its tranquil shores, we will have a final sunset shoot. Then it will be time to say our goodbyes.
