Our short intensive Cornwall photography workshop will provide you with in-depth knowledge of how to take stunning landscape photos. There will be shoots covering everything from sunrise to sunsets. You will learn how to use filters effectively and how to compose your image. This is the perfect workshop for anyone wanting to improve their landscape photography.

On this Cornwall photography workshop, we will start in the beautiful harbour town of Falmouth. We will tick off St. Ives, Land’s End, St, Michaels Mount and the Lizard peninsula. There will also be plenty of other locations such as fishing villages, sandy beaches, Porthcurno, Botallack and Bodmin Moor. By the time our workshop ends you’ll be in love with the Cornwall landscape.

Cornwall is as historic as it is beautiful. This is where the chiselled coast of north Cornwall is constantly battered by the wild seas of the Atlantic ocean. A land where old abandoned mines still dominate the landscape.

This is a workshop dedicated to the art of landscape photography. Not only will you experience amazing locations at the best time of the day, but you will get the guidance to improve your photography.

There will be many different landscape scenarios, lighting situations, and certainly different weather conditions. All this will provide the various challenges that landscape photography throws at you.

You will be guided through each scenario with expert help, advice, and encouragement. You will learn about settings, composition, filters, long exposures and so much more. There will be amazing shoots, stunning scenery, and a good few Cornish pasties.

Cornwall Landscape Photography Workshop Tentative Itinerary

Day 1 – Falmouth => Godrevy => St. Ives

Our Cornwall photography workshop starts in Falmouth. After arriving at the hotel you will have a meet-and-greet and a brief discussion with your tutor before we dive straight in. We will then make the drive to the Godrevy and its beautiful coastline. From there we make the short drive to hippy town of St. Ives. This will be the location for our sunset shoot.

Day 2 – Land’s End => Bottallack & Porthcurno => Lizard (B)

It’s a packed second day as we start with a sunrise shoot at Land’s End. This stunning area with its striking cliffs is a photographer’s paradise. We spend the rest of the day stopping at small coastal villages and photographing some of the less known sights such as Botallack and Porthcurno before heading to the Lizard peninsula for sunset.

Day 3 – St. Michael’s Mount => Falmouth => End of Tour (B)

Our final day starts with a sunrise shoot at the iconic St. Michaels Mount. If there is low tide you will be able to see the amazing cobbled walkway that leads to the imposing castle. After our shoot, we will return to Falmouth where will have a final discussion and review some images. After which we will say our goodbyes go our separate ways.

Prices Quoted

Prices quoted are for single occupancy in a single room. There is no single supplement charge for this workshop.

Self-drive

Due to the COVID-19 situation, we are operating this workshop as a self-drive basis. This means you will need to drive yourself to locations that we will be visiting. If you are unable to drive yourself and would like to discuss your options please contact us.

£250 to reserve your spot. The total cost of this workshop is £725. A balance of £475 will be due 60 days prior to the trip.

NOTE: There must be a minimum of 3 people registered for the workshop. Do not book your transport until we inform you that we’ve reached the minimum number of people.

Tour Leader: Kav Dadfar / Jordan Banks

Your tour leaders on these workshops will be either Kav Dadfar or Jordan Banks. Kav and Jordan have a combined 40 years experience shooting high-end assignments in both the editorial and commercial sectors and have travelled to over 100 countries. Their work has been used by clients ranging from Microsoft to Qantas and Nat Geo to Lonely Planet and many more.

Group Size

The group size for this photo workshop is a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 guests. On average our workshops will have 3 or 4 people on attending.

Experience

This photography workshop is ideal for beginner, amateur, enthusiast and semi-pro photographers.

Difficulty

Although for most locations there will be some walking involved, these will be short and easy so if you are in good health and fitness level, you will be fine. This tour is NOT recommended for people with mobility issues.

Equipment

You don’t need expensive or professional equipment for this photo tour. We would recommend DSLR or mirrorless cameras, a range of filters and a tripod for this tour.

Schedule

Whilst every effort will be made to adhere to the schedule, as we are photographing outdoors we will occasionally have to change our plans depending on the weather. This is a big part of being a landscape photographer.
