When I first researched the possibility of being at Angels Landing Zion National Park for sunrise it seemed like a pretty impossible task. My first thought was to camp but Zion national park camping is not permitted outside of designated campsites and the Zion national park hotels were just not convenient within my budget.
I decided to find a park ranger to take a look at the zion national park map to discuss walking routes, the zion national park weather and how this may affect my plans.
Zion National Park Utah is a beautiful lush desert valley but the weather conditions can be very harsh and the last thing I wanted was to become stranded so proper planning was essential.

There are a few other things to consider when planning your trip to Zion National park with the most important being the weather. the best time to visit Zion national park is probably in Spring or Autumn. During winter lots of trails and even roads can be closed. Summer in Zion National park is lovely but the crowds are here and it can become very crowded on the trails.
Spring an Autumn the best times to plan a trip to Zion National Park as the crowds are low and the weather is neither to hot or to cold.
